Members of my family and myself all met up at Parkville for a meal on Saturday evening. I found the restaurant to be a very comfortable place with a relaxed atmosphere, the menu was varied and had something for everyone's taste. The food was very nice and plentiful and the service from the staff was brilliant, they were attentive and friendly. After our meall we sat talking for quite a while and the staff didn't mind. The whole experience was brilliant and I would definitely go back again. The only thing I found was that the car park was full and I had to park on the street, but this was expected as it was a Saturday evening. Would definitely recommend
Returned last night for Hogmanay after having such an amazing party the year before.. I didn’t think it could have been any better than last year… but it was!! Everything went perfectly smooth. Every member of staff worked so hard to ensure the night was a success. The dinner and drinks were delicious as always. I’ll definitely be back soon
My parents recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding anniversary back at The Parkville. This was their wedding venue 60yrs ago. They had a beautiful lunch on October 20th with family and everyone was so kind and made everyone feel really special. All the staff really looked after my parents and showed a real interest in their wedding memories. Food was excellent and consensus was that the lunch was just as good or perhaps even better than the wedding meal 60yrs ago! Special thanks to Lynne who went above and beyond to make my parents Diamond Wedding celebrations, a real gem of an occasion. Thank you.
Visited the Parkville this evening with friends for the first time, staff were lovely great asset, Calum had great banter! Food was good, few wee recommendations we could make but all in all fab flavours. Will return, thank you for a good evening.
The Parkville Bar is Back on Top! ⭐ I’m so pleased to write this update. After a period where we felt the standards at The Parkville had unfortunately slipped—particularly with their steak pie dinner—I am thrilled to report that they are officially back to their best. We decided to give them another go recently, and the difference was night and day. It’s clear that the kitchen has refocused on the quality and consistency that made them a local staple. The Highlights: • The Steak Pie: This was the true test for us. The meat was tender, the gravy was rich and savory and the pastry was perfectly crisp. Veg done perfect also chips and mash great again It felt like the "fantastic" version we remember from years ago. • Atmosphere: As always, the staff were welcoming, but there seemed to be a renewed energy in the service this time around. Everything was spot on. It’s wonderful to see a local business listen to feedback (or simply push for excellence) and return to such high standards. If you we’re hesitant about returning after a mediocre experience lately, take this as your sign to go back. The Parkville is back, and that steak pie is a must-order!
Lovely meal with friends on Monday. Service second to none. Food lovely and a good varied menu something for everyone. My only gripe is disabled parking not great but that doesn’t take away from first class service and good food
We recently celebrated my dad's 80th and my daughter's 30th at The Parkville. We were a large group including 2 toddlers. The choice of menu, the quality of food and the service were amazing! Every member of their team is a credit to them, however, special recognition to one of our servers (Michael). This young man oozed customer care whilst being very personable and very genuine. He really deserves recognition and praise for his hosting skills. A sincere thank you for making our experience so positive.
The staff at the Parkville went above and beyond to serve us. We were celebrating a retirement and had 20+ in attendance. Our food arrived so fast and was delicious. One of our guests took unwell on our visit and the staff rallied around to look after us and really showed how much they cared. Thanks for making our evening so special.
